Daughter of former Ondo State deputy governor found dead under her boyfriend’s bed

Adenike Khadijat Oluboyo, daughter of the immediate past Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Alhaji Lasisi Olugbenga Oluboyo, was on Sunday, July 8 found dead at her boyfriend’s house in Akure.

Oluboyo (20), who was a final year student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, had been declared missing for the past six days in school, only to be found under the bed of her boyfriend, Adeyemi Alao AKA QS in what was suspected to a money ritual act.

Femi Joseph, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ondo command who confirmed the story, describing the incident as a sad and very unfortunate.

He said:

It is not a rumour but it is a fact that the young lady was found dead this morning and it is saddening and very unfortunate. We are on it and trying to get some facts but the Commissioner of Police will brief the press about the details in another 48 hours.

Also, a family source confirmed to Radio Nigeria that the herbalist that did the money ritual for Adeyemi, who is currently at large, instructed him to keep the corpse for seven days.

Luck, however, ran out on the Abuja-based boyfriend, when his younger brother met the decomposing body of Khadijat in mysterious manner and reported the incident to the police.

The Police PRO disclosed that some arrest had been made, he, however, said full briefing would be done by the state commissioner of police, Gbenga Adeyanju on the incident, after the completion of investigations.
