Super Eagles star Kenneth Omeruo joins Spain’s Leganes from Chelsea on loan
Super Eagles star and Chelsea defender, Kenneth Omeruo has joined Spanish first division side CD Leganés on loan.
This is the fifth different team, the 24-year-old center-back is joining on loan having played at Kasimpasa, Alanyaspor, Middlesbrough and ADO Den Haag.
The Spanish club confirmed his arrival via their Twitter page: ‘CD Leganés and @ChelseaFC reach an agreement for the loan of @omeruo22. His presentation will be at ID Butarque next Friday.’
Omeruo who has two years left on his Chelsea contract has never made a competitive appearance for the Blues since joining from Standard Liege in 2012.
He was also part of the Super Eagles squad that represented Nigeria at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
