Glitz Style Awards: Becca wins Artiste of the Year

Ghanaian songwriter and singer, Rebecca Akosua Acheampong, popularly known as Becca, was on Saturday awarded the Artiste of the Year at the Glitz Style Awards.

The newly wedded singer won over two male musicians, Kidi and Amaarae in the same category.

In her statement after receiving the award, Becca who looked excited, commended her former boss, Mr. Kiki Banson for playing a crucial role in her career.

She also dedicated the award to her husband, Mr. Daniel Oluwa Tobi Sanni, describing him as “my handsome husband.”

However, the ‘Na Wash’ hit maker couldn’t resist but flaunt her wedding ring to the audience.

She refused to let her hand rest on the podium after she received the award presented to her by Shatta Michy.

Some music lovers and critics have argued she flaunted her ring to tease single mother Shatta Michy.

Becca came into the music scene when she qualified as a contestant in the second season of the hit singing competition, Mentor on Tv3, but later dropped out due to some misunderstanding.
