FG to evacuate last batch of stranded Nigerians in Russia
The federal government has announced that it will carry out the last evacuation of Nigerian football fans stranded in Russia after the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament to Nigeria. The first batch of 155 stranded Nigerians arrived the country on July 20 after President Muhammadu Buhari ordered their immediate evacuation. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had last week said 75 out of 230 stranded football fans absconded in spite of government’s efforts to repatriate them….
