Amaju Pinnick has been re-elected as the president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). Pinnick recorded a landslide victory with 34 votes over his rivals Aminu Maigari (8), Taiwo Ogunjobi (2). Chinedu Okoye had no vote. He is the first president of the NFF to be re-elected. This was confirmed by NFF on its official Twitter page.

World football governing body FIFA has issued ultimatums to Nigeria and Ghana over “undue influence” in the affairs of their football governing bodies. FIFA, in a media release said that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) would be suspended if its offices “offices are not handed back to the legitimate NFF executive committee under president Amaju Pinnick” by August 20th.
